Search Experiential in Englewood Cliffs, USA

Hi everyone! I want to share with you the great Search Experiential event we had in Englewood Cliffs on Tuesday April 21st. As Kristine said in her post, we had 5 hands-on demonstration stations covering different aspects of search that were manned by Mindshare and Google. The teams did a GREAT job in bringing search to life for our brand marketers and definitely opened people’s eyes about the importance of having a search strategy and making sure our sites are optimized for organic search! The station that focused on mobile search was particularly popular!

Attendance was strong from all levels within marketing and people were positive about the event and its value to them. What was really gratifying was Mike Polk (President Americas) brought the entire Unilever Executive Team including Paul Polman to our event for a hands-on experience that lasted almost a half hour. They were all totally engaged especially Paul Polman who visited each of the five stations and literally had to be dragged away. Rob Master was getting evil looks from the person who was responsible for keeping the UEX meeting on track!

The top photo is Sejal Shah of Google sharing mobile search opportunities with Mike Polk and Paul Polman. Other photo is Nabeel Mahmud of Mindshare explaining search engine optimization to Unilever marketers. That photo also gives a really good perspective on how well attended our event was!

Over the next couple of weeks, the Search experiential will be repeated in Chicago and Toronto where we're anticipating great repeat performances from Mindshare and Google and enthusiastic participation from marketing.

Regards to all,

Noreen
